On 24 October, a new day of the Wind Energy Sector Forum took place at the Euskalduna Conference Centre, which brought together the main players in the wind energy value chain in the Basque Country, with more than 70 attendees. The event opened with a welcome address by José Ignacio Hormaeche (General Manager of the Basque Energy Cluster) and a speech by Jon Lezamiz (Global Head of Public Affairs at Siemens Gamesa) reviewing the current situation of the wind energy sector.
REPSOL and NAVANTIA SEANERGIES presented their respective strategies and main initiatives that they are considering carrying out, as well as a reflection and analysis of the situation of the wind energy market in view of the different current uncertainties. RYSTAD ENERGY presented the conclusions of a study on the impact and future of the European supply chain. The agenda was completed with presentations of collaborative R&D projects such as WILLOW, FLOAT&M, KONFLOT and ELBE Eurocluster, and of the different internationalisation activities that ACE will organise during 2024.
During the presentation of the KONFLOT project, Germán Perez from Tecnalia, presented the progress of both case studies, as well as the future lines of development. In addition, the KONFLOT roll-up was exhibited during the coffee break, with the most relevant information of the project.
